Jeff Payne

Founder | Defensive Driving Academy Nevada

With more than 40 years of experience in professional motorsports, high-performance driving, and driver education, Jeff Payne is recognized as one of the nation's leading defensive driving experts.

His career has taken him from racetracks across the United States, Europe, and Japan to developing advanced driver training programs and driving experiences for major automotive manufacturers, corporations, government agencies, and private organizations. His expertise also extends to precision and stunt driving, professional driver coaching, and work in film, television, and national media.

In 2002, Jeff founded Driver's Edge, a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to saving lives through hands-on driver education. Since its inception, the organization has reached more than 160,000 participants across the United States and Canada, earning Jeff recognition as a CNN Hero for his contributions to teen driver safety.

Through Defensive Driving Academy Nevada, Jeff continues his commitment to providing practical, experience-based instruction that helps drivers of all skill levels improve their awareness, confidence, and control behind the wheel.
